The Yellow House Thrift Shop provides a unique shopping experience for bargain hunters, collectors, and anyone looking for a great deal. All proceeds from the Yellow House go to support Gamma House, our area's only transitional shelter for homeless women and children. Besides being a great place for people to shop, The Yellow House Thrift Shop provides Gamma House residents with clothing and other needed personal items. In addition, it serves as an avenue for our residents to improve social, interpersonal, and job related skills needed for success in employment. Description of Organizations Services:
There is a staff member on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Dorothy Thompson is Area Manager. The vision of Youth Bridge is to create a community that values, protects, and empowers its children. Its mission is to help at-risk youth and their families build brighter futures by providing an array of supportive and empowering services. Youth Bridge, Inc. provides the following professional services to youth ages 5-19 and their families: Individual, group, and family counseling; mental health assessment, diagnosis and evaluation for court-, parent-, or school-referred youth to assist in determining appropriate service needs; substance abuse counseling; case management; parenting and anger management education; host home and emergency shelter. Therapy services are now available for young adults through age 25 years. Youth Bridge accepts private insurance or offers a pro-rated fee for service based on the income of the young adult. ...(Read More)
